September 3: The pool goes to the dogs today. To celebrate the end of the pool season, the Aquatics Center will hold its annual Doggie Dive In from 3:30 – 5 p.m. Dogs are free and people are $2 each. Nixa X-Center, 701 N. Taylor Way.

September 3: Labor Day. First Monday of every September. The holiday honors the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, laws and well-being of the country. Congress passed an act in 1884 to make Labor Day a legal holiday.

September 5: Late fee applies.

September 6: Missouri State Bears vs. Lincoln University. Plaster Stadium, 6 p.m.

September 15-16: 21st annual Cider Days on Walnut Street. A two-day arts and crafts festival on Historic Walnut Street. Cider Days is one of the largest fall festivals in southwest Missouri. 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

September 15: Missouri State Bears vs. Northern Arizona. Plaster Stadium. 2 p.m.

September 22: Coco. The Movies in the Park series is presented by the Massengale Group. Starts at dusk. Free! Please bring lawn chairs or blankets. All movies are dependent on weather. No smoking and no alcohol. Nixa X-Center, 701 N. Taylor Way.

September 29: Family Weekend at MSU! Missouri State Bears vs. Illinois State. Plaster Stadium, 2 p.m.
